This collection of wooden blinds is both stylish and elegant. With a broad range of finishes, there's something suitable for every room. As Sunwood Venetians are made using a natural product there will be a degree of variation in the shading and grain type on each blind.

The overall look is fresh, contemporary, and functional. These wide slat Venetians mimic the shutter look but without the shutter price tag. The white wood blinds especially look like plantation shutters but at a much more economical price

Please Note: we do not recommend a wood product for areas of high moisture such as bathrooms or wet rooms as it may lead to issues over time.

Maximum Privacy, Air Flow, and Light Control

Venetian blinds are operated by a cord and give you the option to draw them completely open to the top of the window, or you can leave them down but tilt the slats open up to 180 degrees to allow light through.

Perfect for summer, if you tip the slats by 45 degrees our made to measure synthetic wooden Venetians can provide you with absolute daytime and night-time privacy yet still allow light in and air to flow freely between the slats. During the day the slats can either be stacked completely up, off the window, to let the sunlight pour into the room, or slip gently through the slightly opened slats for a more restful effect.

Child safety

The importance of safety

Chains and cords from curtains or blinds have been identified as a potential risk to small children.

Having a safety device is now a legal requirement even in homes without children.

What does that mean?

We are committed to adhering to the European 13120 standard, or UK equivalent as a minimum safety requirement. This means any blind you purchase through our website will be supplied with a child safety device, unless the blind has been manufacured inherently safe.

All Wood blinds come with a colour co-ordinated cord condenser and a two-part safety cleat.

The cord condenser is designed to consolidate the pull cords into one string and also to break-away, stopping any loops from forming. The safety cleat is used to wrap the cord around to keep it out of children’s reach.

Exact width

Do not use this if your blind is inside a recess. You can give this size if you want your blind to cover the window opening (Outside the recess). We suggest you add 10cm at the top and at least 5cm either side to ensure adequate coverage.

If measuring an existing blind, measure across the width of the blind only and ignore any brackets.

Recess size

Take the measurement inside the recess. Do not deduct anything from this size, we will do that to make sure your blind fits perfectly.

We suggest you take 3 measurements and use the smallest one. This will allow for any unevenness and ensure your blind fits.

Exact width

Do not use this if your blind is inside a recess. You can give this size if you want the fabric of the blind to cover the window opening (Outside the recess). We suggest you add 10cm at the top and at least 5cm either side to ensure adequate coverage.

If measuring an existing blind, measure across the width of the fabric only and ignore any brackets.

The size of the finished blind will be around 35mm (3.5cm) wider than the width of the fabric.

Recess size

Measure drop in 3 places.

Take the measurement inside the recess. Do not deduct anything from this size, we will do that to make sure your blind fits perfectly.

We suggest you take 3 measurements and use the smallest one. This will allow for any unevenness and ensure your blind fits.

Fixing Height

Measure the distance from the floor to the height at which the product will be installed.

In order to comply with the British safety standard EN13120, or UK equivilant, child safety devices must be installed alongside your product.

In addition the control must be a certain height from the floor. This measurement is required in order to calculate the control length for the product.

Standard Roll

The fabric comes of the back of the blind, close to the glass. This is the best way to maximise insulation and light control.

It is considered the standard option in the industry.

Reverse Roll

The fabric comes forward off the blind, away from the glass. Ideal for clearing obstructions such as handles or winders. It also hides the roller itself and creats a valnce effect. Not recomended for outside recess fitting as there is an increased gap down the sides.

Left control

The control mechanism is on the left of the product as you face it.

Right control

The control mechanism is on the right of the product as you face it.

Premium Satin - Ivory

Our Premium Satin lining helps to protect your curtains or blind from light, and filters the light entering your room slightly, allowing curtains to flow naturally. Ideal for living rooms and dining areas where light control is not critical.

Blackout - Ivory

Our Blackout Ivory lining provides total privacy while at the same time helping to control the temperature of your room.

Perfect for bedrooms, our Blackout lining adds an extra layer of thickness, keeping your room cool in summer and cosy in the winter.
